What is The Phoenix Pet and Wildlife Sanctuary?
(PHOENIX PAWS for short!)
It is a sanctuary situated in Somerset that cares for animals in need. Whether they are sick or injured, lost or homeless, abandoned or mistreated, large or small .......... PHOENIX will help in every way it can.
The animals are tended to, around the clock sometimes, and given everything they need to help with their problems.
If they can be found loving homes, this will be done. If they are wild animals and suitable for returning to their natural habitat, that will be done too.
If they are not fit for either of these things, they will remain at Phoenix for the rest of their lives ---- which is very good news because the care is second to none.
Phoenix PAWS is run by two dedicated people, Jeannie and Paul, with over 60 years combined experience in animal care.
It is a NON-PROFIT MAKING CHARITY which means that all the funds they receive from donations ---- or a website like this one ---- DAISY DUCK ---- goes to the animals. Jeannie and Paul receive no pay for their efforts. It is a labour of love.
Times can be very, very hard. The tasks involved can be stressful and sickeningly traumatic. They are often left with the jobs that nobody else wants.
If you can please help them in their quest to continue with the rescue of animals in need it will mean more to Jeannie and Paul than you can ever imagine.
Someone with a love of animals giving support and, hopefully, a little cash to help with the food, healthcare and upkeep of the sanctuary.
